Simple food with very few ingredients and seasonings, yet tasted so good. The best way to eat it is when it’s still hot, fresh out of the steamer. I can’t exactly pinpoint how the steamed rice noods that seem rather bland can actually make me crave it again from just looking at the photos. Could be the sesame oil in the dressing? It can easily become one of my comfort food. If you’re looking for veggies you’re in a wrong place. They’re all about rice noodle and some fish balls. If you’re not a big eater (like me), the large portion will likely fill you up. Keep in mind that they mainly do takeout. But there are a couple of plastic chairs in front of the store where you can sit (uncomfortably) and eat. Another good thing about this restaurant is that they don’t passively pressure you to tip by turning their POS screen toward you, so that you can choose between 50% or 200% tip. 🤣
The rice roll is absolutely delicious! They were so soft and silky, and the taste was so flavourful! We bought both the Signature and Shrimp Party and we really loved both of them. The cold soya milk was very refreshing as well.
The wait time may be very long (we waited for 30 minutes before we got our food), so be prepared or come early.
This was my first time having rice rolls and they were stellar. I got the pork rice roll (#4) and it was delicious with the sauce they provide. At $3, this place is phenomenal value. The aunties working they are cool. Definitely coming again.
Price is in the middle for rice rolls at $7, not too expensive but not too cheap. The $7 does get you the full combo with everything in it. Next time I’ll ask them to go lighter on the parsley but the flavors are all there. The rice roll is silky and smooth, the meat is plentiful with lots of real shrimp.
This is the perfect meal in my opinion. For 7$ you can get a big rice roll loaded with shrimp, dried shrimp, egg, cilantro and scallion. It’s super fresh and not greasy but incredibly satisfying. Don’t forget to top it with soy and hot sauce + bring cash
If you oversea and looking for some affordable and authentic cheong fun, this is the place to go. Small shop located in Chinatown with a busy kitchen. Order to made, might take a little time but freshness guarantee. Pricing is the plus point compared to other nearby. The cheong fun texture is unbeatably soft and thin, portion size is great and the sauce provided are awesome too. Will come back again to try other.
A wonderful little stall in Chinatown specializing in rice rolls. They make the rice rolls right in front of you and there’s always so many locals ordering. Make sure to order in advance yourself too, as the wait otherwise might be up to an hour for the rice rolls! Only reason it’s a four star.
Otherwise, the ingredients are extremely fresh and the workers are very nice. The prices are extremely low as well and I greatly recommend the tea eggs you can buy 3 for 3. We went back twice just for them. The curry fish balls are pretty small but the sauce is so flavorful and with the amount that it costs, you can’t complain. Highly recommend trying this out!!
I really enjoyed the steamed rice rolls here & wish they had chilli oil (they only had hot sauce, but not a biggie it was already so tasty without an chilli!). Service was fast & friendly.
